Carol Jacobson has known me since I was … geez, in 7th or 8th grade? I played in youth orchestra, chamber orchestra, and my first attempts at composition were all for strings and she made sure these pieces got played. I must credit my path as a composer to her support and encouragement.
She commissioned Gambol for Orchestra for the ArMac Orchestra (Arcata/McKinleyville High School Orchestra) in 2008. This performance video is from May 2009.
